RTE Grant Supports Business Process Automation and Real-Time Data Exchange

The RTE Grant for Business Process Automation and Data Exchange helps Estonian companies develop digital solutions that make business processes more connected, automated and data-driven. The grant is aimed at projects where systems, partners or organisations need to exchange data more efficiently and where automation can reduce manual work across a wider business process.

A key requirement is that the project must involve at least one partner. This reflects the purpose of the measure: the grant is not meant for isolated internal software features, but for solutions that improve cooperation, interoperability and data movement between different parties. Eligible projects may include secure and standardised data exchange, data processing, real-time economy solutions and developments that form part of a broader operational process.

Applicants must be registered in the Estonian Commercial Register and have average revenue of at least €50,000 over the last two financial years. The applicant also needs a valid digitalisation strategy or an equivalent document. If such a strategy does not yet exist, it may be prepared as part of the project, and in that case the eligibility period may begin up to three months before the application is submitted.

The maximum grant is €150,000, with 50% self-financing. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis while funds remain available. As of 25 June 2026, the remaining budget not covered by applications was €563,450.

The measure is part of Estonia’s wider real-time economy support scheme, which also includes grants for software implementation and integration, data-driven reporting and data exchange software development, and data economy use cases. Companies should note that only one RTE grant activity can be applied for at a time.
