The Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture and the State Shared Service Centre have opened an additional funding round under the measure for the development of larger urban areas. The call is aimed at supporting new digital solutions in the urban areas of Narva, Sillam\u00e4e, J\u00f5hvi and Kohtla-J\u00e4rve, with applications open until 28 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The total budget of the call is \u20ac2,658,448 and the activities are co-financed by the European Union. The funding can be used for the development and implementation of digital solutions, raising awareness of these solutions and related activities that help improve the quality and accessibility of urban services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The measure is part of a broader effort to support regional development across Estonia. In this round, the focus is on helping Ida-Virumaa cities create more convenient digital services for residents, prepare for the use of artificial intelligence and strengthen cybersecurity. Projects may also address areas such as smart energy use, traffic management, waste services or other digital improvements that make the local living environment more attractive and efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local governments, foundations, non-profit organisations, public law legal persons and companies may submit project proposals. Collaborative projects are particularly encouraged, especially those involving different types of organisations as applicants or partners. This reflects the measure\u2019s wider goal: to support practical digital solutions that are developed through cooperation and respond to real local needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
