The measure provides additional state support for projects that contribute to the objectives set out in county development strategies and have been agreed through dialogue between the state and regional development organisations.

Applications may be submitted on an ongoing basis until 31 December 2027, but only for projects that are already included in the relevant county development strategy action plan. The applicant may be a local government, non-profit organisation, foundation, company, state authority or public university, provided that it is named as the applicant in the action plan. This makes the measure especially relevant for regional projects that require cooperation between municipalities, development organisations, companies and other partners.

The purpose of the measure is to support projects with clear regional impact. A project must address priorities agreed between the ministry and the county’s regional development organisation and must be linked to a wider local or regional challenge. Depending on the nature of the project, this may include improving access to public services, developing a more efficient service network, strengthening the business environment or creating additional value within the county’s development ecosystem.

The minimum grant amount is €50,000 per project. In general, the maximum support rate is 75%, with at least 25% self-financing required. In certain cases, such as co-financing projects under PEEK, Interreg or Horizon programmes, the support rate may be up to 100% of eligible costs. The exact available funding and project scope must correspond to what has been set out in the county development strategy action plan for the relevant year.

The measure does not support all types of activities. For example, the construction or renovation of bicycle and pedestrian roads, road maintenance and construction, or design work as a standalone preparatory investment activity are excluded. This underlines the measure’s focus on strategic, regionally significant projects rather than isolated infrastructure preparation.

For municipalities, regional development organisations and partners, the measure offers a practical route to implement agreed county-level priorities and turn strategic development plans into funded projects with measurable local impact.

The county development strategy support measure helps implement projects agreed in county action plans, turning regional priorities into concrete activities and investments.

[134,131,130
179,180,175,178,166
post-8943","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-eu-projects","category-public-sector","category-regional-development","tag-county-development-strategy","tag-development-plans","tag-local-government","tag-regional-policy","tag-rtk
["GET
