Digitalisation Roadmap Grant Helps Companies Plan Practical Automation

The Estonian Business and Innovation Agency offers support for companies that want to prepare a digitalisation roadmap and understand where digital development can create the greatest practical value. The grant is designed to help companies assess their current processes, identify bottlenecks and set out a clear three-year action plan for digitalisation, automation and cybersecurity improvements.

A digitalisation roadmap is not just a general strategy document. It should give the company a structured view of which investments are needed, in what order they should be made and what impact they are expected to have. It also looks at how data is collected and used in business processes, how real-time economy solutions could be introduced and how planned digital changes may affect the company’s financial performance.

The maximum grant is €10,000, with self-financing between 30% and 50%. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis while budget remains available. As of 22 June 2026, the available budget not covered by decisions or pending applications was €156,256.

The roadmap can also become a stepping stone to further support. Once a company has a valid digitalisation roadmap, it may apply for funding to carry out the development activities described in it. In some cases, the cost of preparing a digitalisation strategy may also be included as part of a broader RTE project for business process automation and data exchange.

The grant is intended for Estonian companies whose activities fall within the eligible target group and whose average sales revenue from the principal activity over the previous two financial years is at least €200,000. Companies must also comply with de minimis aid limits and must not be in difficulty.
